As producer and host, I spotlight LGBTQIA+ talent with The Straight Man at Peoples Improv Theater.

As a professional public speaker, I’ve written and delivered hundreds of speeches, led countless workshops, and sat on dozens of panels in front of thousands of people.

After 15+ years of performing and 10+ of public speaking, I am ready to face a camera and passionately talk directly to your audience.

HOSTING EXAMPLES

Here’s a small sampling of my work exploring culture through media as a video essayist on YouTube. Whether breaking down cult favorite film and television, like Strangers with Candy and Heathers, discussing misunderstood blockbusters like Batman Returns, or breaking down queer historical court cases, like Lawrence v Texas, I bring a breezy style and accessible intellectualism to a broad audience.

EXAMPLE 1: 10 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW

I researched, wrote, performed, and edited this deep dive into the cultural impact of, and rare trivia about, cult comedy TV show Strangers with Candy starring Amy Sedaris, Paul Dinello, and Stephen Colbert.

EXAMPLE 2: REASONS TO WATCH HEATHERS

I use a simple video list format to unpack the psychological benefits of satire, the problematic nature of 1980's high school films, how to be a leader during dark times and more.

EXAMPLE 3: RESURRECTION AND RAGE, A CATWOMAN ESSAY

I know Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman in Batman Returns is a well worn topic. That's why I expand the conversation into ideas about third wave feminism, doing death right in media, the darkness of a good fairytale, and queer awakening of an 11 year old boy (me).
